• What material is it made of?
The shelf is made of painted steel.

• What is it like?
It is a shelf with a tubular frame and multiple shelves. It comes disassembled and is easy to assemble.

• What are its dimensions?
The Lauro shelf is available in 6 versions: 3, 4, and 6 shelves, each in narrow and wide variants. The maximum depth is always 29 cm, and the maximum heights are 86.5 cm, 121 cm, and 191 cm respectively. The available widths are 70 cm or 140 cm.
The distance between shelves is 35 cm, and from the bend of the top shelf to the surface of the bottom shelf is 33.5 cm. The usable height between the floor and the curve of the first shelf is 11.6 cm. Find all versions on our website.

• Is it a freestanding shelf or does it need to be fixed to the wall?
The structure is designed to be self-supporting. However, stability, especially in the taller versions and considering any loads placed on it, is not guaranteed. Therefore, wall mounting is recommended to prevent tipping. The shelves have holes for wall plugs to allow secure wall fixing.

• Does it require assembly?
Yes, but it is very simple and only requires a flat-head screwdriver. The package includes 4 tubular legs that rest on the floor; you screw them by hand to the first shelf, then screw 4 more tubular spacers to the 4 corners. Add the number of shelves according to the chosen version, and on the top shelf, finish by screwing in a cap with the screwdriver to hide the hole. Simple, right?

• What can I use it for?
You can use the shelf as a bookcase indoors.

• Can it be used outdoors?
The Lauro shelf is not treated for outdoor use.

• How much weight can it support?
We recommend a maximum total load of 30 kg for the narrow version and 45 kg for the wide version. A maximum load of 10 kg per shelf is recommended for the narrow version (70 cm) and 15 kg per shelf for the wide version (140 cm), always evenly distributed.

Installation & safety

Fix the shelf to the wall!
The stability of the structure is not guaranteed in any version, especially with applied loads. To avoid tipping, use the holes provided for the dowels and fix it to the wall.

Maintenance

To proceed with cleaning, use a soft cloth dampened with water. Do not use thinners, corrosive products, acids, steel wool, or steel brushes. Dry with a microfiber cloth.

La libreria è arrivata con un mese di ritardo e gli angoli di due ripiani erano ammaccati. Per quanto riguarda il ritardo ho sempre ricevuto risposta tempestiva quando scrivevo per chiedere aggiornamenti e alla spedizione è stato aggiunto un piccolo omaggio. Altro discorso, invece, vale per gli angoli ammaccati. L’imballaggio sembrava curato, ma evidentemente la sottigliezza della lamina rende molto delicato il trasporto del prodotto. Sono dispiaciuta, speravo andasse meglio.
