• What material is it made of?
The shelf is made of painted steel.

• How it's done?
It is a shelf with a tubular structure, with multiple shelves. Supplied disassembled, simple to assemble.

• What are its dimensions?
You can find the Lauro shelf in 6 versions: 3, 4 and 6 shelves, each in narrow and wide variants. The maximum depth is always 29 cm, the maximum heights are 86.5 cm, 121 cm and 191 cm respectively. The width versions available are 70 cm or 140 cm.
The distance between the shelves is 35 cm, from the fold of the upper shelf to the plane of the lower shelf it is 33.5 cm. The useful height between the floor and the curvature of the first shelf is 11.6 cm. Search all versions on our site.

• Is it a freestand shelf or does it need to be fixed to the wall?
The structure is designed to be self-sustaining. However, stability, especially in the higher versions and considering the loads that may be placed on it, is not guaranteed. Wall fixing is therefore recommended to avoid tipping. There are holes for dowels on the shelves to ensure wall fixing.

• Is assembly required?
Yes, but it's very simple and all you need is a "flat" screwdriver. In the package you will find 4 tubes that act as a support to the ground, you screw them by hand to the first shelf, then screw another 4 tubes that act as spacers to the 4 corners. Add the number of shelves depending on the version chosen and complete on the highest shelf by screwing a cap to hide the hole. Simple, right?

• What use can I make of it?
You can use the shelf as a bookcase indoors.

• Can it be used outdoors?
The Lauro shelf is not treated for outdoor use.

• How much weight can it support?
We recommend a maximum total load of 30 kg for the narrow version and 45 kg for the wide version. We recommend a maximum load of 10 kg for each narrow version shelf (70 cm) and 15 kg for each wide version shelf (140 cm), always equally distributed.

Installation & safety

The product requires assembly; recommended total maximum load 30 kg or 45 kg depending on the versions, maximum load per shelf 10 kg or 15 kg depending on the versions (narrow or wide)

Fix the shelf to the wall!
The stability of the structure is not guaranteed in any version, especially with applied loads. To avoid tipping, use the holes provided for the dowels and fix it to the wall.

Maintenance

To proceed with the cleaning operations, use a soft cloth moistened with water or a product for cleaning windows. Do not use diluents and corrosive products, acids, steel wool or steel brushes. Dry with a microfibre cloth.

La libreria è arrivata con un mese di ritardo e gli angoli di due ripiani erano ammaccati. Per quanto riguarda il ritardo ho sempre ricevuto risposta tempestiva quando scrivevo per chiedere aggiornamenti e alla spedizione è stato aggiunto un piccolo omaggio. Altro discorso, invece, vale per gli angoli ammaccati. L’imballaggio sembrava curato, ma evidentemente la sottigliezza della lamina rende molto delicato il trasporto del prodotto. Sono dispiaciuta, speravo andasse meglio.

Il design è piacevole ma con difetti

Il design è piacevole, ma l’acquisto non mi ha convinto: lo scaffale, arrivato con imballo integro, presentava alcuni difetti evidenti: verniciatura sbeccata, una piccola piegatura e una sbeccatura del metallo pre verniciatura.
