The modern shoe rack

This Call for Ideas was specially conceived to be presented during the 2024 Milano Design Week. An initial, broader selection was physically showcased in our exhibition space in the Isola district, allowing design lovers to vote in person for the very first time.

The brief

The brief stems from new living needs. Shoes, once always hidden away, now take centre stage in a more dynamic lifestyle, reflecting a shift in our daily habits. The focus was therefore on finding a practical, beautiful, and functional solution—not the shoe rack of the future, but simply the one that was still missing in the present.

A new home for your shoes

The winning project is Maru, a solution that adapts to any space thanks to its outstanding versatility—whether you want to place it on the floor or mount it on the wall. Its modular design also allows you to make the most of it by placing multiple units side by side or stacking them vertically.
